Topicmaster1010 4,172 Posted January 19, 2022 #81 Share Posted January 19, 2022 Some more team sizes that should be final. Belarus: 29 Alpine Skiing: 1 Biathlon: 10 Cross-Country Skiing: 4 Figure Skating: 2 Freestyle Skiing: 7 Speed Skating: 5 Bulgaria: 16 Alpine Skiing: 3 Biathlon: 8 Cross-Country Skiing: 1 Figure Skating: 1 Luge: 1 Ski Jumping: 1 Snowboarding: 1 Don't think the biathlon quotas are official for Bulgaria yet but I can't imagine that they would reject any. If one of the Bulgarian's could confirm, that would be great. United States: 222 Alpine Skiing: 17 Biathlon: 8 Bobsleigh: 12 Cross-Country Skiing: 14 Curling: 11 (Chris Plys doing both men's and mixed doubles) Figure Skating: 16 Freestyle Skiing: 32 Ice Hockey: 48 Luge: 8 Nordic Combined: 5 Short Track: 7 Skeleton: 3 Ski Jumping: 3 Snowboarding: 26 Speed Skating: 12 Even with how big the US team is, I don't believe there's any more quotas that can be reallocated to them. maestro
dcro 10,210 Posted January 19, 2022 #82 Share Posted January 19, 2022 Latvian team confirmed. 57 athletes. I like how everyone gets a page (Bendika gets two!), while hockey players get just their names. http://olimpiade.lv/storage/app/media/uploaded-files/beijing2022sportistuprezentacijalokik19012022max.pdf Bendika is going in both biathlon and XC skiing, so she had a hissy fit over nothing. heywoodu and intoronto 1 1 #banbestmen

justony 454 Posted January 19, 2022 #84 Share Posted January 19, 2022 Slovenia will compete with 40 athletes. Alpine Skiing - 11 Ski Jumping - 9 Cross Country Skiing - 8 Snowboarding - 5 Biathlon - 6 Nordic Combined - 1 In Alpine Skiing, Štefan Hadalin will not compete due to personal issues. In Snowboarding, Gloria Kotnik took an extra spot in women's Parallel GS, but currently she is not on the list, so maybe we will see 41 athletes. This is the most modest team since Torino 2006, according to number of athletes, and most modest according to number of sports in which we compete, since Lillehammer 1994. (Pyeongchang - 9 sports, Sochi - 8 sports, Vancouver - 10 sports,... Lillehammer - 3 sports)

Surely because it is not the final roster, they have to cut 5 players. It is expected they will anounce their final roster on the weekend

You know that winter sports in Serbia are almost none existing, so even that 2 quotas are too much.

mrv86 3,138 Posted January 19, 2022 #89 Share Posted January 19, 2022 So I think they’re only waiting for Germany, South Korea & Bosnia to confirm if they’ll take their reallocations.

From what I heard, quotas haven’t been finalized by the IBSF yet either. I think they’re still in a similar or process of confirmation/reallocation. “Sport has the power to change the world.
