Once again - it was said in the first day's podcast - the individual quota will be redistributed at the other European Qualifier in Moscow, April 2020. I explained it also a few posts above yesterday or the day before.

Now I wonder what happens with the German mixed team place. They remain qualified, but do we now have two more individual places on offer?

It's a bit complicated, in theory we could have a scenario where more athletes (89 per gender) than athlete quotas (86 per gender) can qualify. Now that Germany's mixed doubles athletes must also be selected for the team event, those places kind of disappear into the void
