And one more for today, the biggest race walking meet of the year at La Coruna.

:ESP (x2) :FRA  :GER  :GUA  :MEX (1 or 2)

Also 4 walkers qualified in women’s:

Yet another FTA event, I’m guessing a WR attempt from Sifan Hassan.

I don't think she had any intentions of running a WR only 6 weeks after winning the London marathon. The 10k was moved to Saturday to give Hassan the opportunity to compete in both the 10k and the 1.500m in front of her home crowd.

She ran 29:37.83, which is the WL time by 22 seconds, but of course not even close to the WR.

I did like the robot camera on the back straight!

Interesting. Some of the flags are for wrong athletes though.

:ITA Mattia Furlani (born 2005), after the windy 8.44 in Savona last week; Today just won the men's Long Jump in Hengelo with 8.24m (new "regular" PB, -0.7 wind read, if I've seen well).

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
