Yes, and it has around 8 billion events already, so if events are going to be added, surely some others should be taken out.

in gymnastics, there are all-around team and all-around individual

in swimming could be

backstroke all-around individual (one swimmer swims 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m)

backstroke all-around team (more swimmers swims 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m)

and same for other styles

No water swimming: judges evaluate athletes who pretend to swim (on a skateboard)

 

"Catch me while I'm swimming": a version of the "cops and robbers" game played in a pool.
