This referee isn´t really popular among the players of todays match, he officiated the matches where both teams lost and were eliminated CRO-MEX 1-3 in 2014 and ARG-GER 0-4 in 2010 Quarterfinal

Olympic gold is shunned as if it was not important, but it's funny that in recent times no nation was able to hold both Olympic and World Cup titles at the same time. The last nation to do this was Italy in the 50s, I think, and it was such a different time that we cannot really compare.

Well that's perfectly logical, since they are two entirely different competitions with entirely different teams and generations playing in them. The Netherlands winning Euro U17 this year doesn't make them favourites to win Euro 2020 for example, it has zero effect on each other
