@konig I received a question from my mother and now I'm also curious because now I can't NOT see it anymore

What's with those hand gestures almost every single Argentinian fan makes non-stop while singing or cheering? Like throwing something away with one hand, but most of the time they do so with a completely emotionless look on their face, like it's some sort of obligated move. I've been thinking "what on earth is that?!" since I received the question (three matches ago :d) and now I really want to know.

I have no doubts Argentina will win the tournament now. It will be very interesting to see which team will advance tomorrow, but I believe it will only be a formality to see which one will finish second or third, at this point, since neither look good enough to beat Argentina, but also not bad enough to lose to Croatia.

All this amazing tournament gets sadder when you think this is the last time you’re seeing the greatest football players from the past 15 years or so at their last time in a World Cup

It's odd, I feel more like a relieve at seeing the best (or most goal-based hyped, at least) about to say their goodbye :p

Orsato officiating a match of Argentina... Yeah, we stood no chance.

Argentina did deserve to win based on chances alone, but by the same token, this match was largely decided by the most outrageous penalty kick and the careless goal that followed in our typical fashion. Livaković was *defending*, and the collision was caused by his leg which was planted in place like 2 meters ahead of any contact. Conveniently, but unsurprisingly inconsistent in the age of VAR, this was never questioned.

Interesting statement given that we have been the only team thus was unbeaten by Morocco. :drama:

But thanks for the anti-support. It has been our good luck charm all along. :teacher:

If :FRA will advance tomorrow to the final, for the first time a team who lost to an Arab country during the competition will be world champion :p

:ARG - :KSA and :FRA - :TUN

    • I am assuming the FIS will fight very hard to keep it.   From a substainability standpoint it also really doesn’t make that much sense to axe Nordic combined as long as ski jumping is in the games anyway. For the same reason that all three sliding sports are basically a package that will live and die together.

    • I can’t see it being kept. Unless some very important  people have asked for it.
    • First event at the World juniors (team events) had 6 nations win medals.
    • I hope they keep it. Even though the sport doesn't exist in Slovakia at all, it's still very exciting to watch.
    • will miss this stage because of the Middle East war, since the flights with Qatar Airways have been cancelled and can't be replaced in time (especially for the bicycles)
