Historic achievement for women Table Tennis for sure. Not sure if it will be enough to qualify the team for the European Games though

They made the final even though Ovtcharov, Boll and Franziska are all missing. This is a pleasant surprise.

The "so called European Champion" Dang Qiu was born in Nürtingen, Germany, was raised in Germany, lived his whole life in Germany and played since his youth for Germany. His parents are born Chinese, but he's no Chinese player who was naturalized later in life.

on the contrary Germany's women team has 2 naturalized chinese players
