Wind lottery in Zakopane today. Kubacki blew a big 1st round lead but several jumpers were affected by the conditions. Just another day in ski jumping :coffee:

Finally Kobayashi does something of value this season. We will see if this is just home court advantage or has he actually got the form back. Too late for the overall, but just in time for the World Championship. Also Kasai at 50 years old finished 51st in qualifications

    • This could be the last ever Paralympics. Come 2028 it might well not be held because the IPC has split in two. That’s one legacy for Andrew Parsons.    He could simply ignore CAS or even withdraw the IPC from them. Unless he is worried about falling from his hotel room window or is being blackmailed.
    • The Netherlands has decided to cancel its hosting of the 2026 European Paralympic Swimming Championships due to the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes under their own flags, ad.nl reported on February 25. The Dutch Swimming Federation (KNZB) made this decision after consultations with government ministries, including the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, which confirmed the withdrawal.
    • An interesting bit from the head of french biathon on the olympic success. • Indians have rediscovered hockey due to recent Olympic and Asian level successes. One of the catalyst was a sports movie called 'Chak De! India' (meaning Go India in Punjabi) which is a underdog movie on the women's team. The movie songs has become an iconic patriotic song to motivate our athletes in sports events and the movie title 'Chak De' has become a slogan in itself.  The movie is available in Netflix France as well - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0871510/
