When totallympics was down we had important change, change of presenting voting in grand final, here is video with explanation.

What do you think about this? It's good or no?

I personally like it. It works fine in Sweden and will surely make it exciting for longer

But it's annoying...watching for a whole long time to see vote after vote being published...and then in the end, BOOOM, all "public votes" at once messing up the entire standings.

Either do it the old way, or announce all "professional" votes at once and then all "public" votes at once. Obviously they won't do it because one and a half hour of useless watching is still a lot of commercial income or something I guess.

Personally I don't find it useless, It's exciting and after all every vote counts the same.

Then they should announce the professional votes one after another and then the public votes one after another. If all votes count the same, it's just bullshit to announce 50% of the votes in a one hour show (or longer) and announce the second 50% all at once. That just doesn't make sense.

What's wrong with having professional and public votes count the same, but putting them together per country and announcing them as one big vote?

I'm pretty sure that would be way too much time (even for me who find the voting exciting).

Personally I don't see the problem.

Yes, it would take too much time. Now they are just announcing a half one by one, and then "oh, yeah, let's do all the rest right now instead".

It's like TV would broadcast the entire first 20km of a marathon and then compress the second half in a 30 seconds highlight video.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
