Barely watched anything from that, but in my mind I thought they were better equipped compared to Barranquilla. Don't know if they're interested, though. Yea but some of the venues were really bare bones, and coincidentally Baranquilla paid to host the baseball/softball teams (otherwise the sports were not going to be held). Lol back to square one. The only reason Hamilton 2026 failed was because the Ontario government wanted to host in 2027 (to avoid overlap with the Soccer World Cup) and now the CGF is okay with it...just lol

Celebrate the Centenary, but emphasise the 'evolution' AWAY from empire games, and away from 'Olympics' clone to something more like a Commonwealth Championships model with more hosts of fewer sports, with a push to host in smaller and newer members appropriate to their size, and an emphasis on indigenous and first nations communities as 'hosts' of the Games - Canada and Australia do this a lot already, but CWG seems a very good place to push this - perhaps the whole queen's Baton lark should end now, replaced with something indigenous and culturally significant to each nation that hosts... Olympian1010 7,582 Posted December 21, 2023 #1150 Share Posted December 21, 2023 Karlsruhe has emerged as a likely candidate (if not host) for The World Games 2029. It would be the first city to host twice. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
