Swimming fans, is this De Vriese time real or is it some kind of mistake by SwimSwam?

It's surely a mistake. Just use the FINA rankings and/or the Nuoto Mondiale annual rankings which capture some fast swims from national meets that FINA misses.

The women's 400 FR is one of my top events on Paris and my bet is on McIntosh topping both Titmus and Ledecky.

I'd prefer to see Titmus go back to back but I think you might be right.

In the 200 FR I think Ledecky might not even get an individual spot. She'll be pushed out by two of Sims, Weinstein and Gemmell but she'll still be there to drop her usual 1:53 split in the relay.

That'd be shocking, but I think she'll opt put anyway. The relay will be fun to see, I think the chinese can pull it again if they are in full force.

I think I will come back to this thread.

I don't want to repeat @Topicmaster1010 excellent work or @esube excellent work or anyone's work here.

But I have some ideas and maybe they will be here in this thread.

Stay tuned.

SNEAK PEAK

Inspired by Topicmaster1010 and esube work here I'm thinking about sth like this little thing you can find in an attached file.

Events, days... And it will be always editable, anyone can join, TEAM WORK, you know...

I mean, I would like to try to make a team work here.

And the early thoughts for this project is:

1. It would be all in the doc file, easy to print.

2. One page for each event, day by day. EDITABLE FOR ANY USER WHO WANTS TO JOIN AND DO STH.

3. Q info and results predictions.

4. Links to interesting videos/websites - all in one page per event.

I like all the things here on totallympics - quali criteria, qualified NOCs, olympics programme, schedule, etc.

But to get all the info I want I must click on this website like +100 times.

And I would like to have it all in one file.

Easy to print, because I am oldschool and I like to have my files printed, good for my eyes, you know.

And that's that.
