Canada sweep Bulgaria to finish week 1 of Men’s VNL with a 2-2 record

Been an interesting year for the women. New coach, and he’s definitely giving different players some reps. And with Grey evidently taking the summer off, O’Reilly injured and Van Ryk sitting out week two, it was certainly a radically different look

 

You could really see the younger players progressing in Turkey, but going into the last week of VNL we have to keep an eye on relegation and be careful

 

Sounds like Van Ryk will be back, so hopefully we can comfortably avoid relegation.

A lot of 5-set losses along the way, obviously super disappointing but at the same time with us having a younger squad, and with no Gray/KVR & Brie out from week 2 onwards our future is looking promising.

Men’s team sweeps Netherlands in week 3 of VNL!

Men’s team defeats Ukraine in 4 to finish Men’s VNL with a 5-7 record. 
 

And without Sclater/McCarthy/Ketrzynski/Heslinga too.

Boys team loses to France in 4 at the FIVB Boys U19 World Championships. 

 

Honestly not a bad performance against the reigning champions

So disappointing that it took me a while to recover from it, but our boys u19 team lost to… Algeria at World Championships? WTF?

Women’s World Championships wide roster is out, no Alexa Gray so presumably she’s taking a break. The rest of the big names are all there.
