Damn @Wumo, you just found one of my long listed songs for TISC Annual 2020. I didn't think you would have heard this song by Inhaler.

I discovered it via a Danish music website. One of the editors had chosen it as his "hit of the week". I hadn't heard about the band before they were recommended on the site. I find it a bit weird I have never heard about a band who's front singer is one of Bono's sons. I'm glad I now know the band. :)

They are still an up and coming with not much prominence yet. Even in Ireland they are not really known that much yet. And yes, Bono's son, Elijah Hewson is the lead singer. You can really hear the influence of U2 in that song, it has a very nostalgic sound for me :)

@Wumo

Cool. For now it appears our lists will share 3 nations. I'm on 12 entries but there's some time left, I'm not completely satisfied yet. :d

What's your means of finding music? Spotify?

There are still three days left of the year. Should be enough time to select 12 songs.

I don't use Spotify. I mostly use Youtube and a Danish music website, http://www.chartbase.dk/.

I find my metal music on Youtube combined with music news websites. I mainly use the Danish music website to discover new Danish music for TAISC. :d The Danish website is also a good source to discover new artists from the electronic and indie-rock/pop scene.

On a side note. @Agger I already have a list of 40 songs for the Danish selection for TAISC 2020. I hope you have a lot of spare time in the spring? :p

What I meant was, I might find a bit more than just the 12 selections I've got. Sometimes it pays to wait as well, for 2016 (which there's no list of yet), I've got something released on 29th December. :d

Ah, aside from YouTube, I'm clicking my way through Discogs. Once in a while you may stumble upon something obscure and interesting.

Haven't made a list, but I guess I could quickly make a 20 songs list :p

@Wumo I can already tell you my 2019 Golden Raspberry Award for the worst piece I've heard so far goes to Venezuela. :p

Is it bad that I don’t actually hate this? The only issue I see with it is that it continuously blows out my speakers.

    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
    • On the Olympics I don't like to count golds to analyse the performance, I think the best data are the top8 and medals. In both fields I expect a big improvement (obviously not on the 'pure' number, but on the percentage of medal or top8 events)
    • December is probably going to be focused on either Italy/Austria or Norway, but the plans are still being made as we speak. Renting a car, driving from the Netherlands down to Italy, finding accomodations and help with preparing the skis and all that...trying to make it as an independent 'solo' athlete is...hard     I can't go and help out, because we got the keys to our house (finally) and there's lots of work to be done there, so it's all happening at the same time and the mind is getting crazy (for both of us)
