Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 23, 2019 #1181 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Wierer 12th. Come on, Patrick, calculate!
Monzanator 3,827 Posted March 23, 2019 #1182 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Wierer 875, Vittozzi 852, Kuzmina 839. Wierer needs 16th in mass start to finish ahead of Kuzmina if she wins. Wierer needs 6th in mass start if Vittozzi wins. Kirkpatrick
Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 23, 2019 #1183 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Just for future reference, is there an easy way to check point per race for particular racers? Some readable table with most of the favourites? Will maintain one for myself in excel next season...

Will maintain one for myself in excel next season... no, unless you get the media booklet before any race... but you can read the results of any athlete race after race on the athlete's profile in the IBU Datacenter... keeping a personal excel table is always the best way of having a quick response to any question on the rankings... Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 23, 2019 #1185 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Sadly, IBU Datacenter shows only positions after the race, no points, and not yet too familiar with biathlon points and which position gives how many points. But indeed, it will be excel from next season.
Monzanator 3,827 Posted March 23, 2019 #1186 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Hmm... the intermediate IBU results actually count the cancelled Canmore sprint as a valid race so technically only one worst score is counted off, In which case Wierer has 894 pts rather than 875? https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/1819/BT/SWRL/CP09/SWPU/BT_C78B_1.0.pdf
Wumo 2,851 Posted March 23, 2019 #1187 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Kuzmina's victory is the biggest margin between 1st and 2nd place in a pursuit in the WC, WCH and Olympics since Bjoerndalen in 2006. https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/0607/BT/SWRL/CP02/SMPU/BT_C73D_1.0.pdf Kuzmina's margin of 1:42.8 to Herrmann is also the biggest margin in a women's pursuit in the WC, WCH and Olympics since Liv Grete Poiree in 2002. https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/0102/BT/SWRL/CP06/SWPU/BT_O73D_1.0.pdf A little extra stat just for fun. Magdalena Forsberg won a pursuit with a margin of 3:13.3 to 2nd place, Zubrilova, in 2001. https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/0102/BT/SWRL/CP01/SWPU/BT_O73D_1.0.pdf Kirkpatrick, ahjfcshfghb and hckošice

Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 23, 2019 #1190 Share Posted March 23, 2019 At least some excitement with Leitner. He'll fail of course, but let me enjoy these 3-4 minutes.
