Which is not that different, Kontiolahti is basically Russia's home competition when there's none that's officially in Russia

Dutch former World Cup athlete and current Eurosport commentator was asked about his experiences in extreme cold. "Once we had some sort of a youth European championships in Novosibirsk, but it was way too cold to race. The Russians wanted action though and so the jury picked up the thermometer and kept it in the sun until it was showing a high enough temperature to race."

Also, The President of Belarus has said that because of the poor performances by the teams he wants Domracheva and Scardino to come back and race again.

Biathlon competitor Ekaterina Avvakumova (29), originally from Russia, could not adapt to life in Korea and is reportedly looking for another national team to join.

Looks like life post Olympic games has not worked out so well.

Well, that'd be a reason to complain if start times (local) were strange or something, but they're perfectly normal
