Medals after 4/11 events in Calgary:

:NED  1 - 1 - 0

:CHN  1 - 0 - 0

:JPN  1 - 0 - 0

:POL  1 - 0 - 0

:CAN  0 - 1 - 1

:KOR  0 - 1 - 1

:HUN  0 - 1 - 0

:ISR  0 - 0 - 1

:RUS  0 - 0 - 1

I love how much this sport has grown in quite a short amount of time. Just 10 years ago the first world cup of the season (Salt Lake City 2008) resulted in the following medal table after all 10 events:

:KOR  6 - 5 - 2

:CHN  4 - 2 - 1

:CAN  0 - 2 - 4

:USA  0 - 1 - 3

That along with speed skating saw growth as well. And figure skating is always universal in terms of countries participating. Yet only if to get reduced quotas.

If I understand good it will be an Olympic event in Benjing

Sure will be. And you know what, I’m all for more short track at the Olympics even if the mixed relay format is a bit ridiculous. Short track relays are some the best team events in amy individual sports IMO.
