Very happy for the Raptors, though I have to admit they got lucky with the injuries.

Five straight 100+ game seasons and the wheels simply fell off. The dynasty was on it's last legs. Klay Thompson played in 122 PO games and then missed one in these finals and now tore his ACL. Next season West will be much more open as Warriors have lost their Superman's cape for good.

But I'm really happy for the Raptors.

There was always a sense among good NBA teams that they would need a break, some type of injury to one of the Warriors main guys for a team to beat them and win the ring. Warriors were always pretty healthy in the playoffs while other contenders struggled. So now, the tables have turned. Great job done by Masai Ujiri who gambled, put it all in and hoped for the best, and finally he gets rewarded. GS is so good, best proof is this series, they fought like hell and showed who scary their team really is when they are healthy. Two devastating injuries really, what are the odds?

    • Exactly. Recent developments of the construction haven't been particularly encouraging, and while they'll probably get everything sorted just in time, a lot of North American fans have been quite vocal about every minor inconvenience.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
