Paulino :DOM wins the gold medal (49.95) and goes under the OQS in the women's 400m. Disaster for Cofil :DOM as she false starts, and fails to record a mark.

:MEX has been disqualified from men’s team foil after their coach did his best :MGL Rio 2016 wrestling impression @mrv86 :p

From the official communication: “During semifinal bout between Venezuela and team Mexico at score 44-44 after the action coach from Mexico team ran on the fencing strip and took off his t-shirt, after that he got completely topless. This happened before making a final decision after watching video replay required by the rules. After this incident I give a black card per T.132.2 to the national coach from team Mexico Maiquel Rodriguez.”

Oh, he’s getting sacked for sure.

That was an achievable gold.

Sierra :CUB wins a condensed field sprint in the women’s road race. There was a nice little crowd at the finish, but not too many people out on the course :(

Jakarta-Palembang 2018 still remains unrivaled in that department.
