 can now officially celebrate their best performance ever at the CAC Games. They’ve got a full set of medals and an Olympic quota to take back home

Paulino  wins the gold medal (49.95) and goes under the OQS in the women's 400m. Disaster for Cofil  as she false starts, and fails to record a mark.

From the official communication: “During semifinal bout between Venezuela and team Mexico at score 44-44 after the action coach from Mexico team ran on the fencing strip and took off his t-shirt, after that he got completely topless. This happened before making a final decision after watching video replay required by the rules. After this incident I give a black card per T.132.2 to the national coach from team Mexico Maiquel Rodriguez.”

Sierra  wins a condensed field sprint in the women’s road race. There was a nice little crowd at the finish, but not too many people out on the course 

 

Jakarta-Palembang 2018 still remains unrivaled in that department.
