Christa Deguchi and Jessica Klimkait win women’s -57kg silver and bronze at the Paris GS. Disappointing. The gold medalist (Faiza Mokdar) won’t even be competing at Paris though, as the French federation has already selected their judoka in that weight category (Sarah Leonie Cysique)

Francois Gauthier-Drapeau follows that up with men’s -81kg bronze.

Second round exit for Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard in women’s -63kg (she’s #1 in the world rankings, although judging off her results, I can’t justify her position)

Christa Deguchi wins women’s 57kg gold at the Baku GS! A very nice result for her sister Kelly as well, as she finishes 7th in women’s 52kg, adding very crucial ranking points towards her Olympic total!

And Arthur Margelidon with a bronze! That should in theory move him up in the rankings. Hoping he can get into the top 8 before Paris to avoid the top ranked athletes till the qfs
