Christa Deguchi (-57kg) wins silver on Day 1 of the Judo GP in Antalya, Turkey, losing out in the final to current World Champion Rafaela Silva (BRA) 0-1. 
 

Kelly Deguchi (-52kg) doesn’t fare as well as her sister, with a first round defeat to Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (AZE) 0-1.

Day 2 of Judo GP Antalya saw Canada win two bronze medals. :clap:
 

Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard (-63kg) won her bronze medal after defeating Lubjana Piovesana (AUS) 10-0. In the semifinals, she lost 10-0 to Ketelyn Quadros (BRA).

 

François Gauthier Drapeau (-81kg) won his bronze medal, defeating Sharofidden Boltaboev (UZB) 10-0. In the quarterfinals he lost 10-0 to Alpha Oumar Djalo (FRA), but rebounded soon after to defeat Jose Maria Mendiola Izquieta (ESP) 10-0, and advance to the bronze medal contest. 
 

Arthur Margelidon (-73kg) lost in the third round 10-0 to Adil Osmanov (MDA). 
 

Antoine Bouchard (-73kg) lost in the first round 10-0 to Hassan Doukkali (MAR). 

 

Mohab El-Nahas (-81kg) lost in the first round 11-0 to Mihail Latisev (MDA).

Day 3 of Judo GP Antalya saw Canada win one medal. (Canada sure loves bronze :p)

 

Kyle Reyes (-100kg) won Canada’s only medal of the day, defeating Simeon Catherina (NED) 11-0 in the bronze medal contest. Earlier, he suffered a 1-0 quarterfinals loss to Daniel Eich (SUI), but rebounded soon after defeating Anton Savytskiy (UKR) 11-0 in his repechage match. 

Shady El Nahas (-100kg) finished 7th, after an 11-0 quarterfinals loss to Aaron Fara (AUT), and a 10-0 repechage loss to Nurlykhan Sharkhan (KAZ). 

 

Louis Krieber Gagnon (-90kg) lost in the second round 10-0 to Noël van ‘t End (NED). 
 

 

They finished the event with one silver medal, and three bronze medals. Final preparation before World Championships in Doha, Qatar (May 7-14)

    • Don't know what they were saying to each other, but one thing on time management is that there is never any debate in : they just instantly agree with what the other is planning to do.
