Jillian Weir with her farthest mark in women’s hammer throw since 2022, throwing 71.13m at the LSU Alumni Gold!

Mariam Abdul-Rashid also clocked a 12.83 in the women’s 100m hurdles.

Rowan Hamilton with a new PB in men’s hammer throw of 77.16m at the Mt. Sac Relays! Almost half a meter over his previous mark. 
 

What a day it’s been for Canadian athletics. Well minus Mitton who had a bit of an off day.

And Kaila Butler with her third best throw ever (and beat all her throws from 2023) as well. She may have an outside shot at Paris.

Damian Warner's results last week. The shot put beat his best throw from last year already. Discus/110m hurdles/PV is close to SB from last year as well.

 

He was entered in the decathlon and entered the other five events, however DNS the 100m and did not register a height in the highjump

Suzhou Diamond League on next weekend. Same Canadians competing as in Xiamen, Regan Yee in women’s 3000m steeplechase (hopefully she can get the OQS), Marco Arop in men’s 800m, and Sarah Mitton in women’s shot put.

I think in my head I just assumed that Leduc broke a record that Crystal Emmanuelle had. Didn’t realize the record was from 1987.
