Also, there is no way you are ever going to set a decent time in a temporary pool, rather than a fixed one.

The Pentathlon Stadium just makes an impression of WOW! I was in Budapest at 2019 WCH - it gives you this WOW, that it's possible to make such a job.

From the practical point of view - it's on the same side as Beijing 2008 or Sochi 2014 Opening Ceremonies.

I was thinking: if I won the lottery, could someone build one in my garden?

More about the obstacle race. Basically, it is a hostile annexation of an Olympic sport by a non-Olympic sport.

“Tomorrow they will all have the chance to race over the course, built on site in collaboration with World Obstacle (FISO) and Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS), which owns the rights to the hugely popular SASUKE / Ninja Warrior TV show, and Spartan Race, the world’s largest obstacle event producer with over 5 million finishers.”

UIPM President Dr Klaus Schormann said: “UIPM has undertaken a comprehensive and transparent process to transform Modern Pentathlon into one of the most popular, accessible and exciting sports on the Olympic programme.

At least now modern pentathlon is "one of the most popular" Olympic sports. :d

Excellent choice. I mean, nobody outside the tiny modern pentathlon community will actually care (or ever hear about this change), but it's still better than the riding-on-random-horses-nonsense :p

otherwise you have to pay for the royalties...

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.
