 will host the  National Track Championship in November - important for getting national ranking points and ultimately Olympic Quals.

Filippo Ganna will attack Dan Bigham's world hour record (55.5 km or so) Saturday evening in Switzerland. He did a test yesterday, and got to a little over 56 km/h for 35 minutes, so that's promising. He's also got his eyes set on Chris Boardman's 56.38 km with a nowadays not legal bike design.

Bigham's WR isn't even a subject anymore, at the moment Ganna is well on his way to break Boardman's Superman-record. 25 minutes to go.

Half a minute up on Boardman, damn. This is the end of the period of hour record attempts for the next 10 years at least. It's been 8 fun years.

Goodbye Chris Boardman, goodbye Superman position, goodbye era of having a 'best human effort' and an 'official world record', it's now all and the same
