well, you need to have some balls to enter the ice with Wayne Gretzky´s number I don´t even remember if anyone since the Great one had ever played with this number anywhere...

btw probably you didn´t know but the number 99 is so far the only retired number NHL-wide  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Hockey_League_retired_numbers

 

now, yes it is about NHL, but it is usually used around the whole world that players do not play with this number

the Czechs look in great shape right now...today, it took half match for them, but then they dominated Finland and secured the final victory of the Sweden Hockey Games with still 1 round to be played...

in the other match from today, instead, the hosts from Sweden won their match against Russia after the "Sbornaja" bounced back from 0-2 to 2-2 early in the 3rd period, but finally they couldn't keep the pace of the Swedes and gave up 2 more goals (the last one being a "classic" empty netter with just a few seconds still to go)...
