Monzanator 3,638 Posted March 12, 2019 #71 Share Posted March 12, 2019 Ragnhild Mowinckel took a nasty tumble off the jump and probably injured her knee
Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 13, 2019 #72 Share Posted March 13, 2019 We really need to bring back starting places from 16 to 22 for the best downhill and super-g skiiers.

Why? Everyone hated this idea myself included.
Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 13, 2019 #74 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Because so many favourites go within first ten that sometimes makes the rest of the competition boring. I loved it when I knew that at 22 someone like Vonn or Svindal might start. So very rarely these past few years...
Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 13, 2019 #75 Share Posted March 13, 2019 For example, today's top favourites for the globes started 3rd, 5th, 5th and 7th. At the end, it wasn't really interesting at all the fight for the globes, but still, point stands.
Monzanator 3,638 Posted March 13, 2019 #76 Share Posted March 13, 2019 And now the girls with bibs 10-14 appear to get the best results. Your point aged very bad

Kirkpatrick 144 Posted March 13, 2019 #78 Share Posted March 13, 2019 (edited) Lucky number 7. Podiums this season with starting places in men's competition: 5-6-10 7-3-10 7-5-15 1-20-15 13-7-27 7-5-17 16-7-17 7-2-5 6-11-17 13-6-9 5-14-7 7-10-5 9-7-16 1-2-13 Those three winners with 10+ numbers -> 2 x Paris, 1 x Svindal In the end, it's something I'd love to see back. Feel free to disagree. Edited March 13, 2019 by Kirkpatrick
phelps 7,210 Posted March 22, 2019 #79 Share Posted March 22, 2019 possible/probable ACL for Christof Innerhofer during the Super-G race at the Italian Championships in Cortina (where the new slope for the men's speed disciplines at the 2021 world champs is being tested)... p.s. the race was won by Matteo Marsaglia, who doubled up the Downhill title he won 2 days ago... Dominik Paris was only second in Downhill and 3rd in today's Super-G... meanwhile Innerhofer was 3rd in Downhill and won the Combined race before today's injury...
