With Königssee track destroyed, Germany has only 3 races.  Was Königssee event rescheduled to Sochi?

According to this Sochi actually took over from the two scheduled North American races.

:POL Mateusz Sochowicz suffered a bad and weird accident today while testing the track during the training week for next year's Olympics in Beijing. According to the first information, the athlete broke his leg and they had to take him to the hospital. According to the Polish media, the Polish athlete was injured due to a technical failure on the new Olympic track. The light at the start was green, but for some reason the entry gate he hit did not open. :facepalm:For the 25-year-old Pole, this could mean the end of the Olympic season,

The Luge live-streams get an upgrade.  Will be hosted on olympics.com this season, and therefore also via the apps, Fire sticks, Roku etc.  :torch::thumbup:

Well that sucks balls :yikes:

FIL had one of the very best players of all federations, with every run being easily available in a very, very easy overview instead of the sort of labyrinth that is the Olympics website...

I do assume every single run will still be available on-demand and so on? That link is not so promising yet, no idea where to actually find things and I badly hope they won't have some spoilers in the video titles...

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
