Agreed, but let’s see what the fly can do first.

given what :ITA and :CHN can offer in the fly's leg, I think they have the silver medal pretty safe even with an average stint...and if they can find a good leg, they might even think about putting the :USA under extreme pressure

Wang Changhao split 50.68 at the Asian Games last year so I wouldn’t be too sure about that. But barring a DQ they should be on the podium.

yeah, and Burdisso clocked 50.8 at the Olympics and when we won the world gold in Budapest...but I wouldn't say they're capable of repeating themselves constantly on that level...it's easier to see them being the black hole of their respective teams

I'm never gonna trust them (especially the Italian fly specialist, whoever he's gonna be in Paris), it's always gonna be a coin toss

I hope Martinenghi will swim under 58 seconds in the 100-meter breaststroke in Paris. This is most likely what he will need to achieve to win a medal. The Italian and the Chinese are the youngest among the leaders and have the most room for improvement. Personally, I hope that the Italian will do the same as the Chinese in Fukuoka.

We'll see. Theoretically, the peak of form should be in the Olympic year but the Italian team performed very well in 2022: World Championships and European Championships in Rome. To win medals in Paris you will have to swim faster than in 2022 for the World Champ. and I hope that the Italian team will be able to do it. In the case of Paltrinieri, I am counting mainly on open waters. I also don't know whether Burdisso will be able to repeat to the results from 2021/2022. I have serious doubts. If not him, who will take part in the medley relay? Razzetti?

Swimswam released a list with 9 men and 3 women. Besided the 10 listed above (albeit the number 9 on the title lol) it includes Kim Jihoon (M) and Hur Yeonkyng (W for the mixed relay)

Not really sure why they would not take a 4th to the 4x200m freestyle (KIM Younghyeon). Who would be the 4th?

Should get to see how Milak is tracking at Hungarian nationals. Is there an entry list out yet? I don't see one on the website.

It's a very busy month for swim fans with an interesting meet on basically every week.
