The world relays are still more than 3 months out, we don't know the draws yet. Sometimes, one heat might be with 1 strong team and other 4 teams with similar performance expectations to fight for the second Olympic spot. Lately, we haven't had much chances and opportunities in relays as we did not make it to major events. Now, in my opinion, strongest chances are for mixed 4x400 and female 4x400 with a strong young generation. Middle chances for male 4x100 and 4x400 and minor chances for female 4x100. But for past more than 10 years I finally see bigger chances in several relays. My guess is that will qualify 3 relays to Paris. I would be happy in order to qualify 2 relays: Mixed and women. But i am afraid of this new system of qualification that it will be too much with minimum rest for them. Men 4x400 could be too. But i do not see there any chances for sprint relays. We know times and there is only around 2 hours between mixed and women relay.

I don’t believe there are any more marathons until the cutoff date, so posting this early. Doesn't the marathon qualification window run through to May? Yeah it was my mistake. I accidentally misspelled Caudery’s name on my Budapest 2023 WC’s quotas list, hence it not showing up for me

Yes, indoor meets count towards the OQS All field events, and all track events 200m and over are counted (including combined events, and the mile) Jan Linha
Josh 7,030 Posted January 30 #500 Share Posted January 30 US Olympic Marathon Trials will take place this Saturday. The qualifying scenarios for athletes to secure their spot on Team USA for Paris are quite confusing, so here’s an article explaining the event. https://www.runnersworld.com/news/a46341794/us-olympic-marathon-trials-qualification-explained Benolympique
