Briliant scores from Yvonne Losos de Muniz and the Guatemalan. Dominican Republic might shock Mexico for team gold.

Colombia meanwhile is outside medals. Looks like they lost ground in dressage like in eventing. I'm quite sure they've never failed to win a medal in team dressage, and now they'll fail to do so on the home ground!

Also looks like everyone left in the competition will qualify for the 2019 Pan Ams, the top 4 teams, plus Barbados, Costa Rica x2 and Honduras for individual. Amazing for Barbados, as they might qualify in all 3 disciplines for the first time ever? Also do you know what happened to Bermuda?

Are there individual ranking quotas up for grabs? Bermuda does have a decent rider based in Europe who might be going for Pan Ams,

Yes there is. 2 per event. And if reallocations need to happen (which they will) they go back into the world rankings I believe.

Cuba dominated the gymnastics competitions yesterday, however Guatemala has the only gold today.

So far, few surprises in the games, the exception being Aruba winning a medal in swimming. They also have secured the gold in men's windsurfer, plus they also have a chance to medal in women's bowling.

Mexico's doing just enough to obtain a fair advantage before the second week starts, but diving and taekwondo teams have failed to earn the medals we were expecting, so it's going to be a very exciting last days, when Cuba shall rise thanks to athletics, canoeing, boxing, judo & wrestling. Colombia will need to nail every chance they have now if they want to challenge the Cuban and Mexican delegations for the top spot.
