From what I observed, they only claimed copyright from Olympic Channel broadcast maybe because it included their commentator. Those from Belarus TV or Channel one Russia (Russian or no commentary) stays intact.

A bit sad as nowadays multisport event videos at Youtube is decreasing, they claimed copyright here and there but refuse to reupload the events by themselves (yet keep concerning the lower interest)

Then i will try watching them. :)

Sad truth. I was watching Asian Games from Singapore (maybe 2010) and they deleted entire channel.

Last good MS event i watched was Baku 2015. Every second broadcasted.

Exactly. I don't really care for the replays of recent Olympics, but I hate it when they remove a documentary from Montreal 1976, or a replay from L.A. 1984. Not like they will ever upload something like that on their beloved Olympic channel.

The 2018 Central American and Caribbean are completely available on YouTube as well as the 2017 Jeux De La Francophonie, and 2015 Pacific Games (more to come about the 2019 Pacifix Games in a few days), the 2019 African Beach Games are completely available on Facebook, the 2017 and 2019 universaides are available on FISU TV. So there are things out there, just check the front page of Totallympics Media. Finding replays is what I was doing for the forum before I started the podcast.

I cant even understand why FIFA wouldnt broadcast some old WC( from 60s,70s) or IOC some old OG ( if i remember Rome games were first broadcasted live).

What would be a problem with that? :dunno:

Pre Munich 1972 would be hard I guess? I believe those unused film rolls were thrown away after making the official film? :p

I honestly also can't understand that too. Both FIFA and IOC actually tried to replay old videos nowadays but they arent old enough

I have found a dressage replay from Tokyo 1964, so I'm pretty sure plenty of it still exists. :p

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
