dcro 9,837 Posted January 14, 2022 #52 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Blatant pro-Russian judging as ever. If you are a Russian, you will get positive GOE even with obvious mistakes. Vic Liu and ahjfcshfghb 1 1 #banbestmen
dcro 9,837 Posted January 14, 2022 #53 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Medal for Vasiljevs. There is hope yet, but still Grassl should have won, and not that Russian who thinks himself to be Jesus. #banbestmen
dcro 9,837 Posted January 14, 2022 #54 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Kondratiuk got 90.02 PCS -- along with Kovalev's 87.78, and Semenenko's 85.44. All beating their previous PBs which were 81.30, 80.72, and 81.94. Enough said. Non-Russian skaters can only dream of improving their PBs by such margins. #banbestmen

PCS is the artistic part, which Semenenko for example improved whilst having a dumpster fire performance. #banbestmen
dcro 9,837 Posted January 15, 2022 #57 Share Posted January 15, 2022 Bleh. Women's competition is so boring with all those Moscovites changing nationalities and taking easy way out: Kurakova, Ryabova, Safonova, Gubanova #banbestmen
Fly_like_a_don 693 Posted March 3, 2022 #58 Share Posted March 3, 2022 With Russia and Belarus(to a negligible effect) banned , the world champs will be very open in women's and pairs category. could fight it out in women's category. If China declines participation pairs skating will be open too.

Seems like they are unable to leave their country, just like the biathlon team. Pairs will be wide open. #banbestmen
dcro 9,837 Posted March 3, 2022 #60 Share Posted March 3, 2022 Figure skating has a problem that a lot of Moscow-born, Moscow-trained athletes are representing other nations. Even in singles, which was highly unusual until recently. It's puzzling what will happen with them. One possible solution is that they will go to Montpelier via Dubai, and coachless. #banbestmen
