Because prediction contests have to be opened with a certain pre-determined margin of days that not always matches the amount of time I need to make my own personal predictions.
Anyway, I think she's more worried about medal matches predictions, not the first prediction post.
Luckily in the Olympic games the matches are so closed and the schedule is so overfull that there is no time to think about the results so you and Wanderer can post your predictions for all the rounds after the stage group right after the design posts.
It doesn't really matter, I could still edit my prediction anytime I want without you all finding out if I tried to. You will just have to trust in us
Personally I only participate in contests in which my knowledge is good enough (mostly team sports) to predict by myself. I'm not interested in participating just to copy other people predictions (and I don't care about general standings, so I don't feel forced to do it).
Because you say that you partecipate only in sport you can do well and you are not copying the other people predictions you can easily do as I propose and post your predictions right after the design post in the contests you organize! I know that you can edit your posts and we normal people can't see it but the other admin users can check it, so you will be discouraged in modifying them.
It's a very simple rule and it makes fairer the predictions, any organizer that wants to play fair shouldn't have any problem in following this rule.

first of all thanks for the hard work you're doing for Rio2016: we have many predictions contests and everyone can find his favourite sport.
I'd have a little and very simple request that maybe other users can like: is it possible for the team event that the organizer posts his prediction right after the prediction design? I think this is a fairer way to handle the prediction contests because currently normal users can't see the others prediction whereas the organizer can and if he posts his predictions after the other users he can be influenced.
