  2. HSBC SVNS Singapore is on right now. Wouldn’t normally mention any of the action before the event ends unless any big wins happen, but I just wanted to discuss something. What’s going on with our men’s team? In Singapore, they started off with close loses to New Zealand (22-17, off a last minute try by Kitiona Vay) and Australia (21-14), which are good results. Can’t read too much into that though, usually they play at least one close match every event against a strong team, and then finish in dead last. That shouldn’t be happening.
  3. Still one more World Cup to go before Paris in Markham, from May 31 to June 2, so technically if they keep improving by 8 points they’d be at 271
  4. As for the starts of the game, it’d have to be Arturs Silovs, Juuse Saros, and Pius Suter. Shoutout to Tyler Myers as well (never thought I’d be saying that in a playoff game lol), he saved the game with his huge dick.
  5. Well they jumped 8 points in a couple months . That would put them at 263 come Paris haha
  6. Today
  7. P.S @vinipereira thank you for creating the Canucks flag emoticon for me
  8. CANUCKS WIN, AND MOVE ON TO THE SECOND ROUND!!!!! 1-0 final for the Canucks over the Predators, as they take the series in 6 games. Up next, the Oilers!
  9. No, it was Great Britain and Japan who beat us. 255 puts us in medal contention, but it'd be a small chance. Pushing for 260 would put us in a better position.
  10. PIUS SUTER WITH 1:39 LEFT IN THE 3RD PERIOD SCORES TO GIVE THE CANUCKS A 1-0 LEAD!!!
  11. Silovs and Saros having Vezina-esque performances so far.
  12. Yesterday
  13. Watch both teams try and find a way to lose

  15. If anyone knows how they are going to work out the seeding for the heats on day 2 (or, indeed, how they worked out the seeding for the heats on day 1), I'd love to know. Worth noting, in case it hasn't already been mentioned, that there's 2 spots in each relay saved for the fastest time for teams that don't qualify this weekend. So let's all hope the US and Jamaican teams get their batons around safely, so that they don't hog those spots.
  16. IFSC World Cup - Boulder: Salt Lake City Men's Semi-Finalists: Jan-Luca Posch - 5 Top/ 5 Zones Sohta Amagasa - 5 Top/ 5 Zones Sorato Anraku - 5 Top/ 5 Zones Colin Duffy - 4 Top / 5 Zones Yannick Flohe - 4 Top / 5 Zones Jakob Schubert - 4 Top / 5 Zones Tomoa Narasaki - 4 Top / 5 Zones Meichi Narasaki - 4 Top / 5 Zones Toby Roberts - 4 Top / 5 Zones Manuel Cornu - 4 Top / 5 Zones Yoshiyuki Ogata - 4 Top / 5 Zones Slav Kirov - 3 Top / 5 Zones Benjamin Vargas - 3 Top / 5 Zones Thomas Lemagner - 4 Top / 5 Zones Oscar Baudrand - 4 Top / 5 Zones Timotej Romsak - 3 Top / 5 Zones Dayan Akhtar - 3 Top / 5 Zones Benjamin Hanna - 4 Top / 4 Zones Nikolay Rusev - 3 Top / 5 Zones Yuji Inouoe - 3 Top / 5 Zones
  17. Because the top 2 per head qualify in the repechages. And there are three heats in the repechage round. Makes six additional teams.
  18. 4 heats in round one - top 2 in each qualify = 8 total 3 heats in round two - top 2 in each qualify = 6 total 8+6=14
  19. Jacqueline Simoneau/Audrey Lamothe win bronze in women’s duet technical at the Paris World Cup! 255.3716, which improves on their Doha mark by more than 8 points! FYI this event is a test event for the upcoming Olympics.
  20. I'm internally trying to work out how they came up with the draws for the first round and even more fascinated how they are going to do the draw for round 2, given the stakes. I'd agree that none of the draws are particularly scary, for either GBR or Ireland. More than anything, I have the inevitable baton worries that come with the sprint relays especially. It'll be interesting to see who lines up for what - in theory Paulino is down only for the mixed 4x4 for the Dominican Republic, which would likely make Ireland's job in the women's 4x4 easier if that were the case. But I trust those entry lists about as far as I can throw them.
  21. malheureusement, j'ai quelque mots seulement en francais, cúpla focal as Gaeilge, ein bisschen deutsch, but not really enough of anything!
  22. Also worth saying that the results of the final will determine the seeding and lane draw for Paris.
