It appears she won't get citizenship until 2023, and thus probably won't be eligible to compete in the 2022 Olympics.

dcro 10,209 Posted November 29, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2021 Where is the qualification thread? Anyways, according to the provisional standings, Vietnam is currently qualified for women's monobob, while Cambodia is only 8 pts outside of the qualification zone. Crazy. intoronto and ahjfcshfghb 1 1 #banbestmen

And imagine if the IOC allowed the monobob to have 25 entries like it did with the other two individual events from the IBSF, both would be qualified, and have room to spare... NearPup 2,408 Posted December 3, 2021 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2021 Kaillie Humphries was just sworn in as a US citizen, paving the way for her to compete in Beijing. (I am legitimately impressed she managed to do it in time for the Olympics, however much she paid her lawyers was worth it)

Based on the qualification document, the Netherlands either needs to finish in the top 12 in the ranking list or have a top 8 World Cup result. They only have two more races remaining and their best result is 11th. Seems unlikely, but possible... intoronto
dcro 10,209 Posted December 19, 2021 #9 Share Posted December 19, 2021 Yeah, we will probably need the Netherlands to withdraw. Meanwhile, talk about dumb qualification system, GB is currently gifted a second spot in the 4-man, even though their second crew is ranked below some unqualified nations... #banbestmen
dcro 10,209 Posted December 22, 2021 #10 Share Posted December 22, 2021 IBSF changed their qualification systems. Best 7 results will be taken into account, instead of the best 8. #banbestmen
