    No, they were awarded an additional individual recurve quota at the 2nd qualifier. However, Paraguay (who is unqualified) placed higher. The same happened in the compound events at the second 2nd qualifier. As I was typing this I had a thought. Is there a MQS. If so do you think it’s possible some of the better places unqualified nations didn’t have it?

    I’m not sure why Peru’s been given that additional women’s quota. I don’t know how the reallocation (or allocation) rules work here, but Paraguay was the 5th best unqualified nation in the women’s recurve. It’d be a real shame if they lost the quota according to World Archery because of a typo or some other confusion.

    I would actually label Noguchi and Garnbret as equal favorites. Their both really weak in speed climbing, so presumably a decent boulder and lead climber could leap frog them with an outstanding performance. I would put some money on Coxsey or Kim to battle for the podium.

    I’ve never seen a “hand-jam” before. Seems very difficult. None of these have ever been set at my gym while I’ve been there.

    Just logged on to say the same thing. Course set has been good. Not particularly exciting Climbing, like what I expect to see during the Olympics, but this has been an interesting competition. Especially since I boulder, some of these are very similar to the hardest problems at my gym.

    @Sindo my account has one of those dumb viruses that force you to go to their website (an obvious scam). Is there anything you can do to fix it? I can barely login and look at one sub-forum before it happens

    They also posted multiple people who had already qualified, and they didn’t use the correct event.

    I still feel that Parkour Earth is the proper international body of parkour. FIG is using this, much the same way DanceSport stole breaking to fit their needs. Fun fact: Parkour (not freerunning) is a martial art.

    Well at this current rate, Libya may have a new government by the end of the weekend. UN is holding a closed emergency session. NATO and EU appears to have been caught off guard. UN negotiations have failed so far.

    As much as we make fun of these. I might actually prefer them to the actual pictograms. There so much more creative and stylistic than the real ones. And they’re funny.

    Thinking about maybe starting a daily (nightly, maybe weekly) show about highlights from the sport world. It would be more of bad podcast type thing. Also, thinking about writing news articles/opinion pieces/conducting studies on a regular basis and publishing them on here, in a separate Totallympics News section or something.
