  1. Not really (not a huge fan of old westerns), but I does of course remind of The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. One of my favorite all time songs comes from that movie. It’s called “The Ecstasy of Gold”. It’s honestly probably one of the best walkout songs of all time too.
  2. ESPN is broadcasting it tomorrow, so I’d imagine it’s the same for everyone else.
  3. Oh, we’ve found some scapegoats for our mass shootings. Video games and mental health. Yes, I agree that video games can be overly violent, but blaming all video games is going far. Yes, mental health in this country is a huge issue. We should make sure people get the best care possible, but they can’t afford it. When we try to make affordable, we get labeled as socialist (something that doesn’t offend me anyways since I am one), which makes offering up alternative health solutions impossible. But It Obviously wasn’t the guns fault. I mean it definitely wasn’t the unlimited access to guns that really helped people carry out these acts of white terrorism. Guns are to precious to be killing machines (sarcastic tone). So so of course we’ve entered the thoughts and prayers section of the American mass shooting culture. At this point we ask entities that don’t exist to bless the victims and take them to places that don’t exist. When really we should be figuring out how to make sure the next victims don’t be victims, that we don’t have to attend vigils for 6 year olds, that we don’t have to bury our dead friends every few weeks, that kids can go to school and safe. There is something so seriously fucked up about American culture. It’s been building from unresolved problems over time and eventually something’s going to give. Everyone knows it, even if they don’t admit it. They know that people will only tolerate the current situation of gun violence, health issues, social issues for so long. Hopefully the government pulls its act to together because I’d love to live in a country I can be proud of. I have so much love for this country, and it pains me to see suffer like this.
  4. I’ve been watching “This Is Football” on amazon prime. I have mixed feelings about the series so far. It’s not super interesting, but there some very nice moments here and there.
  5. Yeah I’m not big into professional sports. I’ve been to 2 LA Galaxy games, 4 LA Angles games, 2 LA Clippers games
  6. Well except for that he’s trending on Twitter from democratic support right now. He just inadvertently took two extremely popular opinions. Plus, gun violence is an issue Democrats can win the campaign on.
  7. What the Polish journalist saw isn’t a black market. It’s what we call a gun show. My town (east of railroad is lower class and Democrats/ west is middle class and ultra conservative; I live on the West and I was the only left leaning person in my middle school and in a small group in my high school) has one every two-three months at the local fairgrounds. They are crazy, people can literally walk in and buy whatever they want pretty much. Well Mexican carrels were able to get their hands on American guns, so Mexico’s laws may have worked, if not for Texas’ weak laws.
  8. Well, he either just made gains (maybe even sizable ones) or just lost the primary.
  9. This happened at the Dayton vigil this evening:
  10. It takes a bigger, brighter mind to think of celebrating with your mates and then give the nation a message it hears.
  11. Well Trump isn’t the main problem. The main problem is how mainstream guns have become in our culture. The NRA has also misguided gun owners. The prohibition argument is one used by the right very often. I don’t think that will be true. If we initiate a buy-back program and put in place common sense gun control. It has worked in other places around the world, so I could work here.
  12. I love my passions, sports and politics collide. All the athletes in America are told to shut up about social issues, and quite honestly over the last 2-3 years we’ve seen a rise in athletes making use of their platforms and voices. This might just be my favorite goal celebration of all time:
  13. 10/10 recommend Track Cycling. We have a velodrome at Cal State Dominguez (also known to football fans as the Stub Hub Center). I was lucky enough to attend a day when the World Cup came here 2 years ago. It was awesome. Obviously being in LA area it’s perks (especially now the Olympics are coming). I haven’t seen Ice Hockey or Figure Skating either. I’ve seen Cycling - Road and Track, Athletics - Diamond League, Modern Pentathlon, Special Olympics World Games - Roller Sports, Kayak, Sailing, Handball, Weightlifting - 2017 World Championships, Fencing - World Cup, and Football - Both US teams (friendlies)
  14. @bmo Have you seen any international sports in person?
  15. They are showing the international feed. It’s the same stuff ESPN (on TV), Marca Claro (on their main feed), MediaPro are showing.
  16. I believe someone on here claimed that he is in the running for Olympic qualification though. That would be awesome.
  17. It is being reported (and foreshadowed by the Mexican foreign minister) that the Mexican government is going to sue the people who sold the El Paso shooter his gun. It would be completely legal under American law. Mexico also is blaming the US government for the day incident that killed 6 Mexican citizens, and for the illegal influx of guns into the country. It’s honestly a brilliant political move. It makes a statement welcomed by both American and Mexican citizens. It will appease the families of victims. It helps give media attention to their argument that illegal guns from the US are causing some of the violence in Mexico. Plus, it’s an ingenious way to get revenge on Trump for all the stuff he’s put them through.
  18. Never saw it . What will they use at the Olympics next year.
  19. No rope either. I’ve watched at least 20-26 hours of Rhythmic Gymnastics from different world championships and multi-sports games and I’ve yet to see rope.
  20. @intoronto @orangeman @JoshMartini007 Some Canadian women were playing in round 3 of women’s doubles racquetball here:
  21. Yes, the I’ve loved the venues . They remind of the Asian Games (because of the branding colors) which I also loved. They bring back good memories.
  22. Medicine is super expensive here, so . That’s why we pay you the big bucks over at Totallympics Media .
