  1. accepts 1 reallocation, declines 2. Reallocations being offered to and .
  2. Full list of quotas and nominated athletes was posted by the FIL today: https://www.fil-luge.org/cdn/uploads/fil-luge-qualification-list.pdf declines their quota in women’s singles, which went to either declined their quota in men’s singles, or were never awarded one, thus giving a second quota in men’s singles. I think the FIL interpreted their qualification document different than we had in mind. “If there are still remaining quota places that are not filled after applying D.2, quota places will be allocated to the next highest ranked eligible athlete/doubles team from an NOC that has not earned a quota place according to D.1…” My guess, based off the allocations made, would be that the FIL interpreted this rule as only unqualified NOCs could earn a quota through D.3. That would explain why and were seemingly passed over for men’s and women’s singles quota respectively. This clause explains how got that second quota in this case: “If there are still remaining quota places that are not filled after applying D.3.1, quota places will be allocated to the NOC with the next highest ranked eligible athlete/doubles team…” Edit: This would also be the reason didn’t get a men’s singles quota.
  3. reaches the max on the women’s side. and each gain another quota.
  4. Lighting struck twice today. Twice, biathletes in contention for victory in different biathlon events at the world championships started an extra loop instead of going down the finish shoot. You’d think they wouldn’t want to do any extra skiing as it was the long distance events as well
  5. So now for the real question, what happens if Stratton isn’t selected by ?
  6. @Federer91 Any news on if got reallocated a quota in women’s singles?
  7. accepted a reallocation in men’s moguls, so we really have seen it all this cycle now.
  8. accepts a men’s quota. Ball in court as to whether or not gets 9 or 10 skiers.
  9. It also should mean that there will be, at best, 9 entries for the team events in Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined
  10. If the men’s team can’t find medals with 9/10 skiers, it says a lot more about the current level of their skiing than the qualification system
  11. declines 1 quota. Next in line are . If Russia doesn’t get the quota, then there will only be 9 NOCs eligible for the team event.
  12. Wasn’t stated earlier, but refused 1 men’s and 1 women’s quota.
  13. I don’t think countries are allowed to field anyone from Nordic Combined for the team event. At least, based off this line from the qualification document: “Participation in the Men’s Team and Mixed Team events are only available to athletes who have qualified to participate in the individual Ski Jumping events in the OIympic Winter Games Beijing 2022.”
  14. actually accepted two female quotas . I expected Robinson’s, but I didn’t think they’d accept more than that. I imagine the second quota will go to Hudson. They also rejected their men’s quota, so likely no team event for them.
  15. Cross has close developmental roots with slope and pipe, at least when you consider it’s stay/popularity at the X Games, but I feel it has become more alpine in recent years. In fact, the FIS generally allows alpine skiers to enter cross at the YOG if they meet the minimum requirements.
  16. My shock is at the accepting a PGS quota Now we’ve really seen it all this cycle.
  17. declines a women’s halfpipe quota. Next in line is , followed by .
  18. declined 1 women’s halfpipe quota, which should go to . After that, we’re down to a reduced entry list.
