  1. I believe the qualification document says qualified teams can’t compete. should get a reallocation, unless it’s too late to reallocate.
  2. Guess we’ll have to wait a while to sort out the Jacobs v. Kerley drama
  3. Badminton quotas were posted by the EOC: https://www.eurolympic.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/All_Badminton-1.pdf Happy to see get quotas
  4. They should take a page out of the ICF’s book and just have teams of three complete a timed run down the competition piste for each discipline
  5. admitted as first African member of the FIL.
  6. There’s been a lot of withdrawals for various reasons. Covid took one of the main favorites out. In general, I feel like the Giro has been the “weakest” of the grand tours for last few years. It just doesn’t seem to get the riders and attention that the Tour and Vuelta do, in my opinion.
  7. I’d imagine this is the most the region will have qualified for any sport?
  8. are reportedly interested in submitting bids for the 2027 Jeux de la Francophonie: https://www.francsjeux.com/breves/benin-announces-its-candidacy
  9. We should have a Discord mixer at some point. I think that would be fun.
  10. I graduate with a bachelor’s degree next week You give the same exact advice I’d give to anyone else in communications, entertainment, or management.
  11. They should just make the three of us the Gen Z Comms Team
  12. I’m happy working either side of the communications industry. I think I prefer journalism a little more to marketing/PR, but my field of study (and soon to be degree) is in public relations.
  13. It was a comms position.
  14. Ideally, I’d like to work them if I’m in the LA Metro Area. I made it to the last round of interviews for an internship position, but I wasn’t choosen.
  15. It was the same format in Minsk. The medalists were determined from times set in the different quarterfinals. I like your idea though.
  16. Still not as bad as the 20 minute applause from Ashgabat 2017.
  17. Yeah, the language, education, and communications fields really weren’t prepared for this can of worms. A.I. has pretty much dominated the conversations I’ve had on those subjects in the last two months. Some people are encouraging students and professionals to use that technology, while other groups are standing firm against it. Policy is a bit all-over-the-place at the moment.
  18. If those far right votes end up with Erdogan, won’t he hold on to power (assuming the gap stays consistent with the results shown, among other factors)?
  19. Is it still common to DQ people for Covid in Europe? It might be happening here in the US too, but I haven’t heard anyone mention it for a while now.
  20. I don’t really feel like those are either Maybe most clout, or best studio financing. They tend to reward the popular and radio friendly (and English), more than the technically brilliant (in my opinion).
  21. Yeah, that definitely isn’t it. The jury votes seem less objective to me than the public. They almost always go for neighbors, geopolitical allies, or language cousins. I feel like they’ve been an annual nuisance since I started following the contest in 2019.
