  1. Herrmann taking the gold by going on the attack in the standing shooting
  2. Statistically speaking Eckhoff is more likely to crumble than Herrmann (although yeah, both are quite likely to do so )
  3. Aaaaand the two Algerian women drawn against an Israeli athlete completely disappeared from the draw, surprise!
  4. 1:42.9 or something for Roest tonight and he takes over first place in the Adelskalendern. Which would be a bit of a shame in my opinion, since Shani Davis apart from being cool was also incredibly allround (winning both allround and sprint championships in the post-80's era is incredible).
  5. Most athletes are right at their main peak period, end of February to early March. It's not the first time athletes try and get their peak a little later when the last competition of the season is in Calgary or Salt Lake.
  6. If I'm gonna start with this I will have to give up sleeping and eating probably, I'm already 15 hours per day short as it is
  7. 1:06.18 by the way, exactly a second faster than Gerard van Velde's legendarily epic 1000m WR and Olympic gold on the same track in 2002
  8. Yeah, test that 'ice master' who created some absolutely perfect ice in perfect conditions on perfect altitude
  9. And 1:11.61 for Bowe in the 1000m to close out the day with another WR....after Miho Takagi (an allrounder!) went sub-1:12 as first woman ever in the race before What a day, unbelievable. This was a historic day for speed skating
  10. 1:06.18 WR for Kjeld Nuis on the 1000m RIP Shani Davis' ten year old WR
  11. And 3:52,03 WR for Sablikova on the 3km, what a day
  12. What the flying fuck is this, Kulizhnikov DESTROYS Shinhama's 5 minute old record and skates 33.616 With a lap of 23.9, what the hell, first ever sub-24 lap
  13. I 'borrow it from the neighbours' It's strange, I'm living perfectly in 2019 but when it comes to MMA, I'm actually living in early 2018. The only thing I knew was impossible to avoid was Khabib - McGregor, so I watched that on the day itself, apart from that all the guys who were reigning champions a year ago are - as far as I know - still the reigning champions
  14. WOW! 33.83 WR for this season's sprint sensation Tatsuya Shinhama Obliterates Kulizhnikov's 33.98 (first and until today only ever to go sub-34)
  15. I'm still in early 2018 when it comes to watching MMA (UFC and Bellator, maybe ONE), so far I've more or less managed to avoid one year of spoilers Well, one doesn't have to run far, or excersise a lot, I'd say do a little every day counts just as well in staying active in between watching sports. I am aware it is a bit of a problem though sometimes, I can get quite stressed if people decide to show up on a Saturday or Sunday making me miss some race or event or something because I'd much rather watch that
  16. I am very much aware of that, yes And when it's cross-country skiing and biathlon, obviously she's the 'lead watcher', as in talking in detail about who is doing well and having a good technique, or showing signs of fatique etc
  17. YES! Please, 36 hour days I still have the highlights of yesterday's women's bandy final (Universiade) and last night's boxing (GBR) to see, and a lot of today. And about stuff suffering over sports: Job: for now that's mostly making sure people make their exams in a small exam center, which is rather peaceful and allows me to split my time between studying and watching sports around 70/30 Dating: girlfriend, lives in the other side of the world so when she's not here that has no effect and when she's here she wants to watch half of the sports I watch too Going out: hate it Physical activity: manage to run 2-3 times a week (7-10-15km, it counts) and at night I can get on my indoor bike, which counts
  18. I didn't see the men's relay, but the women's relay was definitely rightfully DQ'ed, they just crashed into Canada right after an exchange
