  1. Yes, Make Deadly Diseases Great Again will make for good hats
  2. But that would be stupid. It'd be like from now on calling show jumping 'the equestrian' and totally ignore dressage and eventing 'because who cares about them?' And it should be 19, since 2019 is when it popped up.
  3. I have no problem both on my phone (Chrome) and laptop (Chrome)
  4. Yeah, it's really not complicated, I'm getting annoyed by all the Dutch people mixing everything up and saying how confusing it is...it's not 1. The virus is a coronavirus, one of many. 2. It's a new - or, novel - coronavirus, hence the original temporary name of 2019-nCoV. 3. That virus got it's more final name of SARS-CoV-2 after the needed research to see what it does. 4. The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 was called COVID-19, of which you explained the abbreviation already. How can this be complicated for so many people in this country?
  5. To be fair, that shouldn't be a debate at all, since any civilization basically needs both in one form or anothher
  6. Ah, my eternal enemy at the school level before university (which I didn't go to). Fuck you, mathematics.
  7. Is there a field you think you can not do?
  8. Test administrator at Pearson VUE https://home.pearsonvue.com/ Although that's because the place where I study has an exam center for people to easily make exams there, so instead of a paid job for me it's mostly an excellent opportunity to study all day and in the meantime check people in and out for their exams and pay attention they're not cheating or something. Pretty soon it's possibly going to move to something more like a real 3-month traineeship somewhere, potentially as a step to working there, in the field of system administration.
  9. I'm confused though. Here they say "everyone has to stay home in Italy", but people are allowed to go to work sort of normally or what?
  10. And apparently they locked down Totallympics too for a minute
  11. And that would be even 100 times worse if we're now going to say "forget it, let's let it run it's course".
  12. Congratulations, you steal the 'Worst Idea of the Year' award right out of ISU's hands.
  13. At the end of today's press conference, in which the biggest announcement was "from now on there's no shaking hands in the Netherlands anymore" (left is the prime minister, right is the head of the 'health authority'):
  14. Too bad it wouldn't have worked because humans are goddamn stubborn
  15. On a Dutch forum there's been a little meme going around these days about Milan actually, with people saying stuff like "But in Milan everything is perfectly normal, children are playing on the streets and life is happy" since one person - who claimed he had a friend living there - said there was nothing going on there
  16. Yeah I don't know man "You can kiss feet, bump elbows, whatever you want, just don't shake hands." I've got a rather important interview Wednesday morning. Let's see if I'll make a good impression when I enter the room, take off my shoes and put my feet on the table for them to kiss 'because the prime minister said so'.
  17. Oh, and stuff about the economy.
  18. Prime minister: "We're still in the phase of trying to contain it, of course we hope to stay in this phase and not go to a more emergency situation." Some more things: - Adhere to basic hygiene rules - Sneeze in your elbow, use paper towels "And from this moment on, we are no longer shaking hands in the Netherlands. You can bump elbows, you can kiss feet, but we're not shaking hands anymore." We keep on doing nothing
  19. I don't know how many you've typed, but I see five
  20. Dutch prime minister is about to hold a press conference after a crisis meeting. Interesting detail is that the backdrop doesn't indicate 'Ministry of Health' but 'Ministry of Justice and Safety'.
  21. South Korea tested everyone and their dog and still Italy is whiping the floor with their numbers at the moment
  22. Women? Plenty. Men? Yeah...not so much
  23. All of Italy today: 1797 new cases, 97 new deaths, making for 9172 cases and 463 deaths. That is a serious increase, again.
  24. Well that's pretty much expected I'd say, the question is whether there will be races
