  1. Hold up. His question was, among other things, how to make his collection public, which I just assumed meant 'the largest possible audience' so as many people as possible can enjoy it. Surely it's allowed to answer a question, even if not everyone likes it.
  2. If you want to share them with as many people as possible, put them on Wikipedia. There is no better place for a large collection of results, basically, especially in terms of audience (everyone knows Wikipedia) and how easy it is to use (click on an athlete's name and see their profile, and so on).
  3. "Trump is being more stupid than I am, I'll surpass him." "Mandetta shines more than I do, I'll fire him." It's a rare day when Trump is not being the dumbest and most irresponsible leader of a major country.
  4. Something being a classic doesn't mean everyone would think it's good though Most of these classics sound rather boring to me and I doubt I'll really go and read them @dcro Please do read it and report back
  5. I didn't see the movie and didn't read the book (luckily we didn't really have any forced literature in school ), but I did see the Family Guy episode about it
  6. I'd give you some if I had any other than posting results you have on Wikipedia if they aren't there yet.
  7. Awesome color.
  8. I'd imagine sea fishing in Slovakia gets about as many tourists as alpinism in the Netherlands?
  9. Well-stocked for a period without sports. Finished Stephen King's The Long Walk, now reading his Carrie and then I've still got dozens and dozens and dozens of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Jeffery Deaver and some others to go which I happened to stumble upon online
  10. Rumour that's going around: 11 October: Ronde van Vlaanderen 18 October: Paris-Roubaix 31 October: Il Lombardia 8 November: Liege-Bastogne-Liege Milan-San Remo could be in August already. Of course all these dates of the GT's and this etc are only provisional and depending on the situation. Meanwhile the UEC is talking about moving up the European championships....can't they just cancel that stuff? It's not prestigious in any way, just leave it out for a year (or more).
  11. That was the only missing one and you found out right after I asked about it? (I did because I'm downloading all songs TISC by TISC)
  12. This course is most likely too hard for Trentin, it's not just hilly, it's basically mountaineous..of course there are plenty of options left, like you said, everything is possible in men's road races
  13. Meanwhile another press conference of the prime minister and health minister here, with basically not much new: "Hold on is the main message", and next week (as planned) they'll discuss whether to extend the precautions (for now until 28 April) or slowly, very carefully loosen up one or two things. Also a little about face masks, after the health minister was asked why they are not advising people to wear them on the streets and so on: "There are not enough face masks for everyone, and the people who actually need them are people working in healthcare, for example, not you and me on the street. Apart from that, we are going entirely on what the experts say, not on political pressure." They are doing an excellent job in these press conferences and updates: always calm, factual, to the point and making it clear they follow the medical and scientific experts.
  14. That's the Amersfoort half marathon down the drain, where I made my debut last year and was registered for this year. The new date for the 10th edition is 13 June 2021, so on 14 June this year I guess I'll have another half marathon on my own.
  15. @Dragon to the rescue...?
  16. Yes that's what I meant, the latest 'news' (mostly from last year) is about him having made the choice for MTB and not the road race. Possibly the current situation changes something, but for now - to the best of our knowledge - that's still the plan.
  17. Yes. Things might change a little now that it's moved to 2021, in which he was supposed to go for the Tour de France I think, but Olympic MTB gold is his main big goal for now at least.
  18. I can't find anything other than 'he was in the 1988 Olympic team', but nothing mentions his role and in which way he was part of the team (because unless he changed his name, he doesn't seem to have competed as an athlete)...any idea? Maybe a reserve that's not mentioned?
  19. He would be able to start, yes, but fighting for medals in a road race and two days later a MTB race? That's just not possible, especially in the men's field. He won't do it anyway, he already confirmed that last year
  20. What could possibly go wrong? We might have days with like a mountaintop finish in the Vuelta and Paris-Roubaix going on at the same time or something
  21. That's up for debate, probably. Most ebolavirus (especially the Zaire one) are indeed very deadly, but that means it gets way less chance to spread than for example SARS-CoV-2. The most succesful kind of virus doesn't kill as quick and violently as ebola.
  22. Obviously UCI's text is rather optimistic since for example France has no end to a lockdown yet, but only an extension like most countries, but alright. --- -The period of suspension of competitions on the UCI International Road Calendar was extended by one month, until 1st July, and until 1st August for UCI WorldTour events. -The Tour de France is postponed and will take place this year from 29 August to 20 September. Holding this event in the best conditions possible is judged essential given its central place in cycling’s economy and its exposure, in particular for the teams that benefit on this occasion from unparalleled visibility. -The 2020 UCI Road World Championships in Aigle-Martigny (Switzerland) are maintained at the scheduled dates, 20-27 September. The competition programme does not change. -The Giro d’Italia will take place after the UCI Worlds and will be followed by the Vuelta Ciclista a España. -The National Championships, organised by the National Federations, will take place on the weekend of 22-23 August. -The UEC European Road Championships are maintained. -The most prestigious one-day road races (the Monuments), ie Milano-Sanremo (Italy), the Tour des Flandres (Belgium), Paris-Roubaix (France), Liège-Bastogne-Liège (Belgium) and Il Lombardia (Italy), will all take place this season, at dates still to be defined. -As many events as possible on the UCI International Calendar, and notably the UCI WorldTour, will be rescheduled later in the season. -- So world champs right after the Tour, immediately followed by the Giro and the Vuelta, meaning the Vuelta will likely end somewhere in November And five monuments have to be pushed in between all that as well, good luck.
  23. Again: no, that is not true. I'd suggest reading the article, because it never says a vaccine has been found. It says trials for potential vaccines are starting, which is entirely different.
  24. I kinda like this one To make it a bit better and not get all the standard big cities we already know, one could think about a limit on how many people can live in participating cities.
