  1. I believe he made his 'debut' in one of the IndyCar virtual races - one later than planned, because his rig wasn't delivered yet in time for the race in which he had planned to make his debut
  2. Ah, Verstappen's famous Dutch internet while living in Monaco
  3. Absolutely, yes Martin Haven, that is. IBSF commentator in winter, motorsports commentator (WTCR, WEC etc) in non-winter. It's always a little weird for me at first, hearing the skeleton and bobsleigh guy commentating motorsports, even though I've been watching/listening for a few years now.
  4. The first one came thanks to a glitch as well. He turned into the corner and all went well, and all of a sudden he was back in the middle of the corner going off into the gravel trap. Not much you can do when your car suddenly moves back 100 meters
  5. One would think Tracy Krohn got behind the wheel for a minute there.
  6. Eurosport used to show it and I used to watch it every now and then ages and ages ago, I used to like it but also remember the positions often being more or less decided after the first curve
  7. One would easily think otherwise this past week or so
  8. Obviously I searched first, but since I can't find it: no word yet on the Supercross events for this season? Manchester, Papendal and Rock Hill were still supposed to happen, I know Papendal is pretty much cancelled, but no idea about the other two. Meanwhile the world championships are still postponed instead of cancelled I think.
  9. So you need the strength training Yay nature
  10. Right, I forgot my time As planned, I opened fast and after 200 meters or so tried to get into a bit of a rhythm I might be able to finish with. First half kilometer, thanks to the fast opening, went in 1:49, after which the second half kilometer went a little under two minutes...meaning I already had my first ever sub-4 minutes kilometer done and dusted - while still very much dying with a capital D because I was only at two thirds of the race. Somehow I managed to keep my speed above 15km/h (needed for sub-6 minutes), and eventually finished in a rather surprising 5:40.5
  11. That sounds better than the 25 degrees but terribly humid of today. My warmup was 3.5km, the first 2.5km of which was in a very easy pace, with a low heart rate, plenty of times I barely break a sweat when running in that relaxed pace (roughly 6:40/km)....now sweat was just pouring down my head non-stop. At least for shorter distances this weather isn't so bad for the muscles.
  12. I liked what they had in NASCAR, where everyone had one or two full resets during the race. Makes it a good mix of serious racing, because you don't wanna break your car, and fun, because that's what it's all about in the end.
  13. https://storage.googleapis.com/fiawec-prod/assets/ressources/Pdf/2020/24H_Le_Mans_virtual_entry_list_autohorized_to_take_part_in_the_race_130620.pdf Light: real racers Dark: sim racers Which taught me apparently Jarno Opmeer isn't a real racer anymore, I missed that Too bad, he was promising in F4. I'm sad the #14 with Alonso is already out, we won't get to see Barrichello
  14. Do you have a Camelbak or some other option to keep drinking? Good luck!
  15. In terms of graphics and actual race info and such, this is being done so much better than many of the other races I've seen so far these months, absolutely
  16. Damn, Simon Pagenaud with an entire sim change (!) in a minute or so You know, because real pros have a back-up sim in the same room, just in case.
  17. Yeah, but that's what I mean: this is content that is much better if it's available for interested people to watch later. I mean, how many people are interested in Guyana's curling team in the first place and how many of them are live at the few moments in which it's available? They're just missing out on a much bigger audience. But alright, if they're having fun, it's fine I guess
  18. Yeah, 'Habsburg' would take way too long to pronounce
  19. So they have some cool content and only make it available for a few hours? What kind of nonsense is that? I mean, I get that kids these days want to show for a few hours that they ate a cake, did their hair and saw a pretty sunset or something, but what's up with a federation pulling this? This is exactly the kind of content that should not be available for such a short time.
  20. Yep, he's a well-known driver for fans who watch more than just F1 and for the past 2-3 years in which he's been racing in F3 and DTM, the Dutch commentator for some reason always feels like it's necessary to say his full name once, like he forgets he has already done that a billion times Ferdinand Zvonimir Maria Balthus Keith Michael Otto Antal Bahnam Leonhard von Habsburg-Lothringen.
  21. Ah, the 10 second (or so) world champion in the team, cool
  22. Unedited and just the way it was shown at first? Wow, they learn
  23. Not agreeing with that, because I have seen quite some very good virtual races in these months (fantastic battles between Leclerc/Albon and Alonso/Button for example), but I am definitely curious about this one...just tuned in, big field of big names https://storage.googleapis.com/fiawec-prod/assets/ressources/Pdf/2020/24H_Le_Mans_virtual_entry_list_autohorized_to_take_part_in_the_race_130620.pdf
