  1. I forgot today's stage Well yeah there's no doubt he's the main favourite for the green as always, you don't need to be the best pure sprinter for that anymore since a long time
  2. So the #4 ByKolles is already retired, just like the #88 Porsche (Am) and the #26 G-Drive (P2). The last two because of this:
  3. GTE Pro is looking very promising indeed! Aston Martin, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford and even Porsche all were very competitive so far. Personally I think GTE Pro and LMP2 will have the best fights with the highest number of competitive cars.
  4. Helmut Kohl, one of the great political leaders of the post-WW2 world, has passed away aged 87.
  5. Spilak in fantastic shape in Switzerland, grass is green, water is wet etc
  6. Wow, that's 'awesome'. Also, damn....look at the pictures on the DN website, that hits quite hard.
  7. Today it's the hell of the Tiefenbachferner above Sölden, now that's going to be interesting, the highest finish in pro cycling in Europe this year
  8. I'm confused, do teams nowadays only play two matches in a group of 4 teams? In The Hague it most definitely seems like the play-offs in the women's tournament are starting, even though every team only played 2 group matches yet.. Surely that can't be right?
  9. That 3:56 mile by 16-year old Jakob Ingebrigtsen, holy everything
  10. Well someone hasn't learned yet how to deal with the responsibility of his own bets
  11. 3:14.7 for Kobayashi in the #7 Toyota, jesus That's 2 seconds faster than the previous fastest ever lap at Le Mans
  12. LMP1 is looking slightly faster than last year, but LMP2 is a whole lot faster The problem in the new LMP2 cars is 100% the reliability, the speed is more than alright in general. Not for all of them, like Jeroen Bleekemolen (in the Keating #43) who said they're 15-20 km/h behind on top speed compared with the Rebellion LMP2's, which is just impossible to fix in qualifying and practice.
  13. 3:26 for Thomas Laurent in the #38 LMP2, that's nearly as fast as the ByKolles LMP1
  14. Qualifying session 2 of 3 is about to start, live on Eurosport. First it's two hours, then a one hour break and then two more hours until midnight, after which the starting grid is known. Last night was session 1 and the Toyota's were fast in LMP1. The biggest fights are expected in LMP2 though: they're bloody fast, only about 10 seconds behind LMP1, and there is a ton of competitive cars (whereas in LMP1 there are only 5 competitive cars). LMP2 just has one big problem: the cars are all pretty new and untested and they are expecting a whole lot of electronical problems. If that stays out and with some luck, an LMP2 might even get on the overall podium. Live timing can be found here: http://www.fiawec.com/en/live
  15. 52.28 for Sjöström in the 100 free yesterday, 4th fastest ever, a few minutes after being lightning quick on the 50 fly 52.06 Cate Campbell, WR, 2016 52.07 Britta Steffen, 2009 52.22 Britta Steffen, 2009 52.28, Sarah Sjostrom, 2017 52.33, Cate Campbell, 2013 Swimming, the sport where the need for recovery does not exist

  17. Picture of yesterday's prologue in the ZLM Tour, it looks as though two time Ronde van Vlaanderen winner Strong Stijn (Devolder) has had some pretty decent dinners, dear Lord
  18. And Sjöström going under 24 seconds on 50 free again followed by a 56.27 on the 100 fly (or fly followed by free, not sure, but you get the point )

  20. Pouille saving a matchpoint and then going on to win the match....but look at this save, damn
  21. You do know it was a downhill? Even I managed 75km/h in a slight downhill in GBR some years ago, on a horribly bad bike (that was not meant for racing and that started shaking at that speed) with a big backpack.....not hard to imagine pro's can reach these speeds on racing bikes, big descents and with aerodynamic positions
  22. The Simplon Pass descent we had today is a pretty wide one, with good roads, good curves etc, meaning: high speeds! 110km/h for Lars Boom, 126km/h for Marcus Burghardt and so far, the winner is...........Kevin Reza with 135km/h
  23. Did anyone already see the 2nd place rider of today finish?
