  1. CNN reporter in Hopkinsville, Kentucky sounded like she was having an orgasm
  2. Just right now when talking about it with my parents I realized apparently my memory wasn't that great and it was maybe not entirely 100% here Strange thing is that you and Federer (in Bulgaria) both said it got dark there, whereas my dad just said he didn't notice much more than just a small eclipse and small change in light (he was in Kosovo at that time)
  3. CNN's reporter in some place in Missouri is standing in the rain with no chance it clears up in 15 minutes, but luckily she's joined by some old Australian dude who travelled all the way there for the eclipse yet doesn't give two fucks about not being able to see the sun ("because it's something special anyway"). +1 for that guy
  4. I remember the one of 1999 (when I was 8), the last 100% eclipse that was visible here. Our neighbours and us were in our garden, watching with our special sunglasses and CD-ROM's and everything, beautiful Too bad the next eclipse that's 100% visible from at least a part of the Netherlands (only in the south) will be 11 days after my 100th birthday, in 2090..
  5. CNN showed the ground in Salem and Madras
  6. Oh in other parts of Oregon the total eclipse is coming now
  7. Live on CNN as well, the total eclipse just happened in Oregon. Gorgeous
  8. I'm still confident Froome won't win this Vuelta
  9. This was one of the most hilarious things I had ever seen
  10. Well Barguil still has 50km to go
  11. This whole thing is exploding, damn RIP Contador
  12. De La Cruz and Alaphilippe are gone from the main group or not yet? I don't know Those are basically the only ones who are interesting for them today, and De La Cruz already had a fall on day 1 so I doubt how strong he is.
  13. White flag for the start hasn't even been shown and, surprise, Thomas de Gendt is already at the front, ready to jump as soon as the flag falls (and Omar Fraile as well, so surprising)
  14. Epic Panenka
  15. Yeah, that was just fantastic. 1000m walk vs 1400m run, brilliant. Can't wait for the 130m (human) vs 250m (horse).
  16. Six seems perfectly fine, there don't need to be so many as in boxing I guess (before they scrapped some weights)...I mean, for every handful of kg a new category is a bit much
  17. Surely for an event where people are saying "we should be in the DL!" it's possible to find more than 3 athletes who want to take the rare chance to actually compete in a DL event?
  18. And that 2.40m from Barshim, damn that was one hell of a jump
  19. It's like they did this just to make people think "we don't want hammer throw in the DL".....come on, 3 men and 3 women, really? They gave Farah a nice B-field indeed, didn't want to repeat the drama of the 5000m in London
  20. Wait, now there are no notifications at all anymore (I mean, for example a quote or mention or reputation had a check, which I as user couldn't change, but that's alright...now it has an X which I as user can't change, but those are the things I do want notifications for )
  21. If you saw the last 2km, you saw everything remotely interesting
  22. Why are several notification options disabled by the administrator, which I suppose is @Sindo? I feel severely restricted in my freedom, so if you could just enable it so I can decide for myself what I get notifications for...grazie mille
  23. Wow, Quick-Step completely destroying the peloton in the last 1,5km with help from the wind (echelons!), followed by Yves Lampaert just riding everyone straight out of his wheel and taking the win Matteo Trentin won the sprint behind it so 1-2 for Quick-Step, wow.
  24. Football turns into boxing and wrestling Red card for Thailand and Cambodia before half time.
