  1. I do love how they added mixed curling to have bigger diversity and everything, and in the end it's Canada, the only nation in the world where people actually care about it in a big way, that takes that gold, but no medal in the other events
  2. Well yeah, I don't mean right now. But you know, a bit later when looking back, it's pretty awesome to have your breakthrough season and come home with 4 medals. That's an amazing score, a medal in every event where you start, while before this season you even never had a World Cup podium. Silver and bronze medals count as well, especially if you're an athlete who is not a huge favourite for gold.
  3. Not really sure what Harvey did to deserve that, but he has actually been talking pretty good about the Russians as far as I've seen. He's definitely not one of those athletes who go around shouting every Russian is dirty, ahd I read an interview where he said he was happy that at least some strong Russians got an invitation, even if they might beat him in the podium fight. I think a lot of athletes 'deserve' Russians being angry at them, but not Harvey
  4. Oh well, barely 21 years old and going home with bronze and triple silver (including the hardest event of all), I think when looking back he can be happy
  5. Right, to the curling thread!
  6. After winning individual gold in four consecutive Olympics, Ireen Wüst will carry the Dutch flag in the closing ceremony
  7. Iivo Niskanen, King of Kings
  8. Niskanen missed a bottle...
  9. Agreed, and I'd be very much fine with Bolshunov's silver as well after an amazing job all-around these Olympics. Poltoranin capping it off with bronze would make it a good podium (I'd prefer Harvey, but definitely not a Norwegian).
  10. Niskanen changing skis, this is gonna be interesting.
  11. Seeing these classic specialists in the front makes me think about tomorrow...are we expecting something from Kowalczyk? She didn't look that bad in classic parts these Olympics and seems to be focussing on longer distances anyways now.
  12. Zavarzina is the queen of chokes
  13. But on red it's always those who were best in qualifying, isn't it sort of normal to have significantly more winners on the course that's used by the faster athletes?
  14. Women: 2-14 after the semi finals Men: 1-12 after the quarter finals Blue vs red, that is.
  15. Wait, did Karl choose blue? Or was it Lee's choice?
  16. So in a 15km it's impossible to have some decently placed split times (like 4-5km without anything), but in a 50km there's a split nearly every kilometer? Right.
  17. This is as big a scandal as the women's slopestyle.
  18. I disagree, I gave Karl a bigger percentage to win/medal
  19. Well the other option was Karl being out
