    500m - 1500m - 5000m - 10.000m, nope, not really Although I'd be fine with 5000m becoming 3000m (so 500-1500-3000-10.000), as long as obviously both the shortest and longest events stay in it. Just like the omnium in track cycling should have both something very explosive and very much endurance-like

    They shouldn't give it an all-round name if it's not an all-round competition. That's like having the speed skating all-round world championships with a 500m, 1000m and 1500m.

    It could be so simple: 1. Individual sprint event (time trial) 2. 'Head to head' sprint event (sprint/keirin) 3. Individual endurance event (pursuit) 4. 'Mass start' endurance event (scratch/elimination)

    I wonder when they're going to change the omnium. I always thought the idea behind it was to have sort of an all-round competition.
