  1. Mangkhut is going to be a monster. It has the potential to be one of the most intense cyclones in recorded history. Wind speeds, amount of rain, the sheer size of the thing, it's all unbelievable. Within around 36-40 hours, Guam will have less inhabitants than it does now.
  2. Romano Fenati you absolute moron. I hope he gets banned for at least the rest of 2018, maybe even longer..this is completely unacceptable.
  3. By the way, I just realized one other incident got much less attention, which I think is strange because in that case I do think it's a matter of sexism: Cornet getting a code violation for changing her shirt on court (it was the wrong way around so she took it off, turned it around and put it back on. She was wearing a top, it's not like she was half naked all of a sudden), while men change their shirts all the time without any problem. Meaning they are saying it's ok for men to change their shirt in full sight, but not for women. Now that is unequal treatment that should be stopped.
  4. In football people abuse the refs all the time and only sometimes get a yellow, let alone red card for it If football would adopt the same kind of strict rules in protecting referees as rugby or NFL, half the football matches would end up with less than 20 players. I just hope, but very much doubt, Serena Haase learned a lesson and will be a bit better in getting her emotions under control.

  6. In the press conference: "Ramos never stole a game from a man after being called a thief, this is sexism." Ramos didn't 'steal' a game 'because she called him a thief'. He handed Osaka a game because it was Williams' third violation, not because of that individual situation.
  7. If I'm not mistaken, she got a coaching warning at a point where she already had an earlier warning for messing up her racket. She then went on to call umpire Carlos Ramos a thief ("Yeah I called you a thief because you stole a point!"), which resulted in him giving her another warning and, due to that being the 3rd one, a game penalty (free game for Osaka). I believe that's when she called for the tournament directors and everyone possibly involved to get to the court, where she started about how this happened too often to her (look in the mirror, maybe?) and that she has a daughter.
  8. Oh come on. Do not even start getting out the racism and sexism card in this situation. Williams acted like a spoiled brat who could not stand she was losing and absolutely lost her shit, taking away almost all of the glory and happiness of Osaka's first Grand Slam title. I do not give a flying fuck if Williams is black, white, orange, purple with green dots, Martian, male, female, Caitlyn Jenner or whatever, behave like a champion, not like a kid who can't have another cookie.
  9. 8 different champions in the last 8 Grand Slams, that's a lot better than the men's part to be fair
  10. Osaka
  11. Williams' cryingact is over for now, time for Osaka
  12. Here we go, Williams gets 1 chance to apologize. Let's see what she does.
  13. This is awful for Osaka
  14. Mekhissi-Benabbad and Richard Kilty are a million times higher on my list than Federer
  15. Which is why it's so sad when she goes on a drama-spree again. She has such incredible talent and can (and did) inspire so many people with that. Why taint that with behaviour like this? I'm sure for many people she'll be remembered as someone with awful behaviour here and there and everywhere, which for someone of her talent is just sad to let it go that far.
  16. With this kind of behaviour (which is really not the first time) all she does is setting a horrible example for young players who watch this and think it's ok to act like a spoiled brat.
  17. Audience going on a booooo-spree. Someone kick them out of the stadium, fake fans.
  18. Osaka
  19. "It's because I'm a woman!" Yeah....and Osaka isn't? "I have a daughter!!" Yeah...so rules don't count?
  20. Someone take Serena to her panic room please.
  21. Serena Williams is one of the least champion-worthy champions ever. Every single time she loses a match, it's good for tennis.
  22. Serena She gets warned, and gets angry because of that, so gets warned more, and now starts crying and pretending to be the victim or whatever This is freaking hilarious, although it's also sad that even when she's not good enough, she is trying desperately to steal Osaka's thunder. I can not understand how people can cheer for this diva.
