  1. It does not look urban and young enough for it to be designed by the IOC..
  2. We'll take your complaints into consideration in April of 2026, thank you.
  3. So a bit of a weird text/presentation that literally lists cross-country under Falun
  4. Why does 'Hamra' have a biathlon and a cross-country sign, yet the text says cross-country is in Falun?
  5. Cool Popov wasn't speaking English, but alright, I'm always pleased to see athletes from non-English speaking countries give a pretty easy interview without needing a translator, it makes certain aspects of life a lot easier for them
  6. I'm surprised how well Russian taekwondo gold medalist Elizaveta Ryadninskaya is speaking English in the post-fight interview
  7. Dutch women's team for the world champs: Sanne Wevers, Vera van Pol, Kirsten Polderman, Sanna Veerman, Naomi Visser and Tisha Volleman.
  8. Just let me have hope Raiza Goulão takes it, ok?
  9. I'm watching yesterday's 62kg competition on the on-demand ('VOD') section: https://www.olympicchannel.com/en/youth-olympic-games-2018/
  10. Awesome to see Uganda's weightlifter, who is far behind the rest in his category, being coached rather enthousiastically by a legend https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrros_Dimas
  11. And never again a biathlon sprint followed by a pursuit based on the sprint's results and then award medals for both events Still the single most stupid thing in terms of medal events in the Olympics in my opinion.
  12. "Hey, Sagan is riding for Movist...waaaait.." This really needs some getting used to
  13. Do the junior handball world championships by any chance contribute to qualifying for the Olympics? Or this year's football women's U17 World Cup?
  14. Ugh, that weightlifting co-commentator (the woman) talking about how gymnastics should have no medals for the individual events because weightlifting doesn't have medals for snatch and CJ Fine, but if you want medals for the single events in weightlifting, just have three competitions per weight class: a separate snatch competition, a separate CJ competition and later the combined, with both competitions again.
  15. How does one get DQ'd before the match in 3x3 basketball? https://www.buenosaires2018.com/results/en/basketball-3x3/athlete-profile-nbk3mteam3-geo01-georgia.htm?lng=nl
  16. They actually have a ton of great photos of basically every sport
  17. I'm just stating my expectations, I was genuinely a little surprised to see this photo https://oisphotos.com/
  18. I have a feeling beach handball might become Olympic one day and when it does, it will become rather popular
  19. I thought @phelps was the old one here
  20. Not really unfair if it was known beforehand, which I guess it was. Should have finished higher there then
  21. Thanks and no, they did not mention that Now that you mention the 5000m rule I understand it as well, up till now I thought the Angulo saved his gold by outsprinting Scheperkamp for 3rd place and so ending up one place in front of Maiorca.
  22. But the result was shown like one minute after the final, pretty fast coin flipping
  23. "Skaters X and Y didn't make it to the final, so Merijn Scheperkamp could potentially make it to the medals. To do so..." (this is where I started thinking "Great, now we'll hear what he has to do for a medal") "....he will have to skate well and get enough points." Thanks commentator. Next time please tell me how to win the 100m freestyle swimming. I am guessing that to do so one will have to swim well and finish fast enough?
  24. Why did the French skater get silver and the Italian bronze? They both finished on 36 points and both of them had one second, one third and one fourth place so that's tied as well. Often the last event counts in these kind of things, but in that one Valanzano finished better, yet she still got the bronze.
