  1. That's what people thought 15 years ago Never, ever give up on Kasai.
  2. Duh, our man @hckosice doesn't naturalize bad athletes
  3. It goes up one meter and moves at walking speed, the motherfucking fear of all criminals!
  4. It's racist if there's negativity around it, as there was 40-50 years ago when they were mostly the dumb helpers (as in, acting like fools, speaking in completely incoherent ways), nowadays they are 100% associated with positivity, joy, happiness and everything since a couple of decades ago the decision was made that 'hey, getting these black people and making them look and speak and act dumb on purpose might be a tad wrong' (and rightfully so of course). Anyway, any discussion about it is entirely impossible in the Netherlands, even though it comes back stronger every year, because the people who are strongly for keeping this tradition call you a traitor if you don't agree with them (which obviously is plain stupid) and the people who are strongly against keeping this tradition call you a racist if you don't agree with them (which obviously is just as plain stupid). Even better, if you're somewhat in the middle and you don't care so much (like the vast majority, including people from every colour in the Netherlands) you're called a traitor AND a racist because you don't entirely agree with both extreme sides It's also fun when outsiders join in and go "you're all a bunch of racists and this needs to stop!". How very open-minded and non-generalizing.
  5. To be fair, they've got two 19-year olds and a 15-year old
  6. No deaths reported yet Although the atmosphere got rather....threatening at a bridge in Rotterdam, where children were brought out in tears by their parents due to the aggressive behaviour of protesters.
  7. He doesn't. (the people he freed from slavery and gave a paid job - according to the story of course, this person didn't actually live for centuries - are indeed, for a large part, black, whereas some aren't) Always nice when people go to children's celebrations and shout "you fucking racist!!" in the faces of 7-year olds, they must feel real tough
  8. So cool to open the season in Poland, it's hard to find World Cup competitions with a better atmosphere (Willingen and Innsbruck are fantastic as well when sold out)
  9. Sounds like "Vololova" But yeah, definitely no r
  10. The German commentator was pronouncing her name with such a huge emphasis on an 'r' ("Vrlhova/Vrova") that at some point it got me wondering if maybe one is supposed to pronounce an 'r' in this name somewhere
  11. Just so you can remove my name for clarity: the Netherlands (or at least not me) will not be bidding
  12. Meh. There was a little documentary/interview with him and Miriam on German TV when the skiing was postponed this morning, it's hard to find two nicer people than them. I hope Neureuther finally gets a lucky break somewhere...(you know, apart from convincing Gössner to marry him and everything )
  13. Now Geisenberger and then the road is open for Eitberger
  14. It was nice knowing you guys, but all-out war is arriving in the Netherlands today. Sinterklaas (the real Santa Claus) is arriving today, which nowadays is a reason for some people to go riot and spoil children's fun because they feel the need to protest it, which can kinda get out of hand
  15. Matchday Which always makes me think about a Dutch newspaper comic from years ago about a guy named Bert that is often brought up on Dutch comment boards whenever there's curling
  16. Yay, let's show the times in thousandths of a second but the differences in hundredths and then round up or down randomly! Kodaira apparently was rounded up to 37.30 whereas Fatkulina was rounded down to 37.87?
  17. And Ebba is starting the year in the way she's gonna continue it https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=32590
  18. Madagascar's only licensed cross-country skier is back in action after his only two previous results 4+ years ago https://www.fis-ski.com/DB/general/results.html?sectorcode=CC&raceid=32591
